A painting of Back Beach on the north west coast on Taranaki on the edge of New Plymouth. A picture I created to develop my painting techniques with light on water and particular subject matter.
I enjoy creating paintings that have a lot of depth, creating shadows and drawing the viewpoint to many different places in the painting, in-which each bit is adding to the whole story being told.
By painting the natural landscape, it allows me to use controlled colour tones and values.
