About The Painting.
This painting is called Foreshore Sunset and was a photo I took this year and someone said to me that I should paint it, so with a few creative tweaks, here it is.
Inspired by the Taranaki coastline and New Plymouth Landmarks in the background and the connections between land and sea. As an artist, learning, growing, refining my style is a journey of creating artwork that can be celebrated by others.
Developing techniques and learning off other artists to explore my own Style, forming a collection of color variations, unique compositions and brush strokes that are authentically me.
This artwork is about the beauty of nature, about life and taking the time to embrace what we have in nature.
This day I was pushing around in my wheelchair, making beautiful connections with strangers and sharing in being genuine and how we are all making the most of what we have. Sometimes it takes a picture like this to take you back there, to breathe and feel the sun on your face even on a dull day.

The sun is setting without a cloud in the sky, people standing and taking in the atmosphere of the moving sun setting over the wave forming ocean. casting its light and providing that moment of energy and the stillness in one. I long to always have sunsets like this.
